This summer was sizzling hot, and we are not talking about the weather! Here are the five most expensive single-family residential sales that closed this summer, including off-market deals, according to public records.

454 Cuesta Way, Los Angeles
Sold for $88 million, this mega-mansion is now home of “Crazy in Love” with L.A. real estate couple Jay-Z and Beyoncé. 2-acre gated lot comprising six buildings totaling around 30,000 S.F. of living space. 8 Bedrooms, 11 Bathrooms, 4 pools, a media room and a 15-car garage. Ex-owner and developer McKillen purchased the site for $15 million in 2013 and rebuilt the home, finally completing it last year.
2. 1255 Angelo Drive, Los Angeles
June has been marked with a sale of Bruce Makowsky’s 3,502 S.F. home on Angelo Drive for $33 million – the buyer is still undisclosed. Property came with plans for an estimated 18,000 S.F. contemporary estate designed by Quinn Architects. Originally, the 3 Beds and 4 Baths home was purchased for $18.4 million in 2014, according to property records.
3. 917 Hartford Way, Beverly Hills
Investment firm Gores Group sold the 12,000 S.F. mansion for $24.9 million in July. Hidden behind the Beverly Hills hotel, the home has 6 Beds and 8 Baths with a wine tasting room and basement cellar.
4. 814 Pacific Avenue, Manhattan Beach
This August Peter Nolan sold his Nantucket-style property for $19.9 million. Initially the property was listed for of $22.5 million back in February, or $2,122 per square foot.
